The Fall Home Show is back

EventsRenomark

If sending the kids back to school didn’t signal summer’s end for you, this will. The Fall Home Show is coming back to the Better Living Centre at Exhibition Place from September 20-23. Time to think about upgrading your home to make it ready for cosy family dinners and holiday parties. Plus it’s never too early to start thinking about next spring’s renos.

Here are our picks for this year’s musts to check out at the show.

For the entire duration of the Fall Home Show, visitors are invited to check out Destination Renovation. A Home Show staple for many years, the exhibit invites homeowners to meet with professional RenoMark renovators for a free personal consultation to get some unbiased advice and renovating tips. Visitors to the booth often bring photos and even blueprints to get the most out of their meeting. The Destination Renovation booth will also teach the value of using a professional renovator and introducing guests to the national RenoMark program and renomark.ca.

While the Dream Home is the big draw at the National Home Show in the spring, this year’s Fall Home Show will feature the Habitat for Humanity Ultimate Upcycle Challenge. Some of our favourite decor and DIY gurus will give new life to household items from the Habitat for Humanity Toronto ReStore. The one-of-a-kind pieces will be on display throughout the show and auctioned off at habitat.ca from September 10-25 with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.

We’re also really excited about Reno 101. It’s a free renovation seminar presented by RenoMark Renovator of the Year Paul Gallop from Men at Work. Paul will walk you through the vital, often misunderstood process of adding value to your home. This is a great opportunity to learn from the experts so you can get the biggest return on your renovations while minimizing the stress that often comes with a huge investment. The seminar takes place at 7PM on Thursday, September 20 so it’s a great way to get a sneak peak at the rest of the show.

Once again we’ll be giving you a chance to win tickets to the event. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for contest details shortly and we’ll see you at the Fall Home Show!
