Last Thursday’s 20th annual Charity BBQ in support of Habitat for Humanity Toronto went off without a hitch. A big thank you goes out to everyone who was involved in this amazing event, from the organizing committee, to our volunteers, to sponsors, to donors. You know who you are!
Ticket sales, sponsorships, raffle tickets and the silent auction amounted to us meeting and exceeding our fundraising goal. In total, more than $36,000 was raised to help Habitat with its goal of helping low-income families achieve the dream of homeownership.
With the Race For Humanity, presented by the Toronto Star and In2ition Marketing Insights, taking place several hours before the BBQ, many of the 500 or so attendees arrived in excellent sprits and ready to eat. Scouring the streets of Toronto looking for clues and completing challenges worked up quite an appetite for the 25 participating teams.
At the end of the night, the event would not have been possible without all the companies and individuals who came out to the event, bid on silent auction items and participated in the race.
