It was a pleasure to have so many of our members join us at Stephen’s Ride for Humanity yesterday. Close to 200 riders participated and over 50 volunteers dedicated their time to making sure the day went smoothly. The weather more or less cooperated, starting out windy but settling down soon enough, while the rain held off until the riders crossed the finish line.
We’d of course like to thank the sponsors for their generous support and a shout-out goes to our top fundraiser Leor Margulies of Robbins, Appleby and Taubb. Another big thank you goes out to Peter Gilgan of Mattamy Homes for being our Ride Marshal.
Stephen’s wife Linda was riding along with her team made up of family and friends. They want to make Stephen’s Ride for Humanity a national event, which would be amazing.
It was also fantastic to see so much action on social media, especially since our riders were busy, well, riding. Here are just some of the tweets that were lighting up our smartphones.
