Thursday’s Race for Humanity was a huge success. The event, a raucous scavenger hunt, had participants going all over Toronto solving clues that would lead them to their next destination. Team spirit was at an all time high as our teams raced not only to beat their opponents to the finish line but more importantly to support Habitat for Humanity Toronto. We’re spending the weekend with our calculators as we tally the proceeds from the race, the BBQ and the silent auction, but more on that later.
A few teams were honoured at the Charity BBQ following the race. Empire Communities won fist place, while last place went to Reliance Home Comfort. This was not due to a lack of effort, however, and we were nevertheless thrilled to have them along for the ride. M2 Contracting and G. Ryan Design were recognized for their outstanding team spirit and the Eurodale Developments team was named most generous in the drink department for helping the volunteers stay hydrated.
We’d also like to thank everyone who posted their photos to Twitter throughout the day. Check out some of the photos below.
