BILD Chair Paul Golini Jr. was presented with the 2012 OHBA Member of the Year Award by the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) at its annual conference in Collingwood on September 25.
Golini, who is the Executive Vice President of Empire Communities, was recognized for contributing countless hours of volunteer time in leading BILD following the unexpected death of Stephen Dupuis last year. “Paul demonstrated what true leadership is,” said OHBA President Leith Moore, who added, “He helped a grieving staff, fellow volunteers and our industry as a whole pull together to recommit and reconnect to ensure BILD, as well as OHBA remains strong, focused and successful.”
Golini, whose two-year term as BILD Chair continues until the end of this year, is also a member of the OHBA Board of Directors. “Paul’s contribution to his Association has left a definite impact that will be felt for years to come,” said BILD First Vice-Chair Steve Upton. “I am proud to work with such a dedicated individual!”
“We are very proud of Paul’s accomplishments and contributions to BILD and OHBA. Paul is a dynamic leader and this award from his colleagues is a true testament to that,” said Andrew Guizzetti, Golini’s business partner and co-founder, along with his brother Dan, of Empire Communities.
Nominations for the Member of the Year award are submitted from all 30 of the OHBA’s local associations. Judging is carried out by OHBA past presidents, executive committee members and senior staff. On behalf of its 1,375 member companies, BILD would like to congratulate and sincerely thank Paul for his dedication to the Association and the industry.
